About
Sergey Postnikov was born and raised in Kamchatka, and his professional background was not in the culinary field. As an economist, Sergey moved to Nizhny Novgorod, where he first started working in a kitchen – at the restaurant "Muka." This experience led him to Moscow, where he worked on several well-known projects: the White Rabbit restaurant and, at the beginning, with chef Vitaly Istomin at the "Tekhnikum" bistro.
Sergey Filippov, the head chef of the restaurant "B.O.R. 812," has been passionate about cooking since childhood, and his culinary development is closely linked to a family hobby: exploring new recipes, conducting his own experiments, and being interested in presentation.
The creative journey of the duo, consisting of Sergey Postnikov, the brand chef, and Sergey Filippov, the head chef of the restaurant "B.O.R. 812," began on the Kamchatka Peninsula. In this unique location, where proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, and Asian countries, combined with a commitment to sustainability and natural ingredients, are key characteristics of the gastronomy. Sergey Postnikov and Sergey Filippov embody this synergy in their work, skillfully using seasonal products and a wide variety of high-quality seafood and fish. Their collaboration began with the opening of the "Kamchatka Local Kitchen" restaurant in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and continued with the launch of another gastro-bistro on the peninsula. Sergey Filippov, Head Chef of the restaurant "B.O.R. 812": "We started as simple cooks when the restaurant in Kamchatka opened. We were given a chance to try. We had never opened anything before, nor were we in a leadership position, but at that time, it turned out quite well." Working as a chef has always been associated with a desire for development, continuous learning, and sharing experiences. Therefore, after a year, Sergey Postnikov moved to St. Petersburg. This move interrupted their collaboration for three years. However, when Sergey returned to Kamchatka, he received an invitation to head the kitchen of the "B.O.R. 812" restaurant in St. Petersburg and invited Sergey Filippov to the position of head chef.
