Account deletion

1. Delete from the mobile app

Open the app, go to Profile, scroll to the “Danger zone”, and choose “Delete account”. You will be asked to re-enter your password to confirm. Deletion is immediate.

2. Delete on the web

Sign in at chefid.io, open Dashboard → Account, and use the “Delete account” section. You will be asked to re-enter your password to confirm. Deletion is immediate — no reinstall of the app is needed.

3. What is deleted

Immediately and permanently:

• your login (email and password) — the account can never be used again;
• your profile details (display name, region);
• your private data — collections, follows, likes, notifications, direct-message conversations you participated in, push-notification device registrations, and messaging settings;
• identity documents attached to any profile claim (files and records);
• all active sessions on every device.

4. What is retained

Content that is part of the public professional record survives, but with your identity irreversibly removed: reviews you wrote become anonymous, and contributions or posts that must remain for the integrity of the record are attributed to a generic “Deleted account” with no personal data attached. A minimal anonymized record (containing no email, name, or other personal data) is kept so identifiers stay unique.

5. Before you delete

You can download a copy of your data first: Dashboard → Account → “Download my data”. Deletion cannot be undone.
