TRUST ON CHEFID
How verification works
Every ChefID carries one of three trust tiers — encoded in the badge so it reads at a glance, in any language.
Community profile
Built by the community from public sources. Anyone can add a record or suggest an edit; every change is cited and reviewed by moderators before it counts.
Verified
The record's key facts — kitchens, roles, dates — are confirmed against a source or employer. The badge earns its check.
Claimed
The chef has claimed the profile and controls their own record. Claimed and verified is the gold record — the credential the industry can trust.
CLAIMING
What claiming means
Claiming links your account to your ChefID. Once a moderator approves the claim, you edit your own record directly, manage your photos and feed, and confirm who trained under you.
To claim, sign in, open your profile, and use the claim button. A moderator reviews every claim before it takes effect.
CITATIONS
Sourced, always
Career credits on ChefID require a citation — a press article, a menu, an interview. Sourcing is what turns a listing into a record.
DISPUTES
Something wrong?
Use “Suggest an edit” on any chef or restaurant page — corrections go straight to the moderation queue. If a profile is yours, claim it to take control of the record.
Your record is waiting
Find your profile and claim it — or put a missing chef on the record.
