About
Starting his professional career with an internship in a school kitchen, he seemed to have predetermined the most interesting path for himself: learning and training. He explored Czech and Serbian cuisine in his hometown, then Russian, French, and Italian cuisine after moving to Moscow. As part of Andrey Shmakov's team, he helped open Simple Place at the Metropol Hotel and served as the sous chef at the Savva restaurant. He cooked for guests at the Strelka bar, experimented with wine pairings at Wine&Dine, expanded the geographical scope of his cuisine as the head chef at "Nedalniy Vostok" with Glen Ballis, and even made dumplings in his own startup, "Spoons and Forks." He also managed to earn significant accolades, including winning the Chef a la Russe championship in 2016 and receiving the audience's choice award at the S.Pellegrino Young Chef competition in 2019 (mentored by Anton Kovalkov).
In 2021, Yegor Makarov became the head of the PRIMEBEEF academy, created to train the brand's clients. In 2022, he took over the kitchen at BURO. TSUM, preserving its signature style – European classics with vibrant Asian accents – and creating a distinctive and memorable menu. In 2023, he participated in the filming of the "Chefs on Wheels" project on the First Channel.
In November 2023, with his vitello "tonnato" tartare and duck with apples and chamomile, he took first place in the "Silver Triangle" competition and was named the best young chef of the year. The finalists were selected by a team from MGF, led by Igor Gubernsky.
Born on November 18, 1994 (Sterlitamak, Republic of Bashkortostan).
