About
Alexander Merkov was born and raised in Moscow. Since 2007, he has worked on more than 30 projects, with key establishments including Simple Pleasures, "Nedalniy Vostok," "Manon," Mercedes Bar, Dukless, and 15 Kitchen+Bar. In 2018, he helped develop a significant portion of the cocktail menu for Tilda, and in 2021, he returned to the project. Sasha's signature cocktails, each with its own story, have become a special reason for many guests to visit "Tilda." For example, the "Asian" cocktail, made with gin, lychee, and lemongrass, was created as a tribute and expression of gratitude to Asia, which has given so much to Europe. The "Lemon French" cocktail, made with sparkling wine, lemon, and barberry, was dedicated to a very beautiful woman, while the "Lakalila" cocktail, made with a rowan cordial, was born from a joke. In addition to cocktails, Sasha also creates homemade infusions using ingredients like sorrel, mandarin, and others. Interestingly, in addition to his experience working behind the bars of key Moscow establishments, Alexander Merkov also has experience working in the kitchens of restaurants like Pinch and Glenuill, which has given him extensive knowledge of ingredients.
