About
Jonathan Curtis was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He first experienced the kitchen at the age of 12, working at his uncle's hotel in Brisbane. From that moment on, Jonathan knew he wanted to become a chef. He got his first job at the age of 13, working as an assistant in the French restaurant Pithiviers. In 2003, he began working in the kitchen of the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Laurent in Paris. At the age of 16, after graduating from high school with a degree in "Design and Technology," Jonathan enrolled in Oxley College, majoring in gastronomy. While studying, he continued to work in the kitchen and met renowned chefs, including Darren Taylor from England (chef for the football clubs "Arsenal" and "Chelsea"), and Australian chef Jeff Turnbull (Dunes Restaurant, Florida; Royal Motor Yacht Club, Australia). Jonathan Curtis came to Russia in 2007 at the invitation of Arkady Novikov. In Moscow, he was offered a position as head chef at the pan-Asian restaurant "Nedalniy Vostok." Since then, Jonathan has worked in various restaurants in Russia, including Mr. Lee, Cherdak, Fumisawa, and Totoro, among many others.
Jonathan Curtis enjoys improvising and working with different cuisines and styles. In his cooking, he emphasizes high-quality ingredients and innovative techniques.
