About

A cocktail bar with a gastronomic focus, inspired by the flavors of South America, with a particular emphasis on Peruvian drinks, ingredients, and dishes.

Alpaca Bar is a Peruvian cuisine project with a strong cocktail component, owned by Maxim Orlov and Petr Radzhikhovsky (who also own the Mexican fast-food restaurant Llamita Burrito in Moscow and the Benedict cafe in Minsk, and the Ovo Bistro in Serbia). The name refers to the animal's natural habitat, the Andes Mountains. These mountains stretch across the territory of Venezuela in the north, and also pass through Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, the cuisine of which is highlighted in the bar. Therefore, the alpaca is a metaphorical guide to the world of South American gastronomy, and also one of the friendliest animals in the world. The head bartender of the project is Anna Kantomirova. Can culinary heritage be contained in a glass? Yes, and this is easily confirmed by looking at the cocktail menu. At Alpaca, it is divided into three sections: Signature (11 original cocktails), Classico (8 classic cocktails based on pisco), and Non Alco (6 non-alcoholic drinks). The bar's design was created by the Static Aesthetic Architects bureau (responsible for Eleven in the Arts Building, the Zielinski and Rozen showroom in St. Petersburg, and the Strelka Bar). The space is divided into two rooms: the first, with ochre-colored walls, a large bar counter where not only bartenders work, but also a cooking area. There is also a high, three-section transformer table, and low seating along the sofa. The second room, "red," features geoglyphs on the walls, an open kitchen where you can sit, and 12 additional seats at wooden tables.
