About

The restaurant, which received a star in the Michelin Guide for 2022, opened in 2006. By Moscow standards, this establishment has a rich history and is often referred to as the "patriarch" of Patriarch's Ponds.

Chef David Emmerle describes himself as a "wine-minded chef," and both the à la carte dishes and the tasting menu are always designed around wine. The heart of the project and its lifeblood is its exceptional wine collection. With 1200 different wines, including a minimum of 70 available by the glass, and the professional expertise of its sommeliers, as well as a comprehensive vertical collection, Grand Cru has earned the prestigious "Two Glasses" award from the renowned Wine Spectator. Six sommeliers work at Grand Cru; the head sommelier, Pavel Kravchenko, is the recipient of the "Best Sommelier in Russia" award, while the managing director, Tatiana Mann-Pakhmutova, is the chair of the judging panel for the 50 World's Best Vineyards (for Eastern Europe). The restaurant's official partner is the M2 farm in Ruza, which provides meat, cheeses, and vegetables that are certified organic according to European standards (EcoGlobe).
