About

Nikita Stepanenko hails from Vladivostok, and his love for Asia is evident in every dish he creates.

His first culinary experience occurred when he was 7 years old, when he prepared his first dish – an omelet. Although it was supposed to be scrambled eggs, and his father was supposed to be the one cooking it, the young chef, after asking for permission, made it entirely on his own. He then went on to culinary college, and despite struggling with the theoretical aspects, his practical skills were always better than those of the other students in the program. He graduated with honors. Next, he worked part-time in a Vladivostok cafeteria as a prep cook, and that's where he heard the phrase, "If you want to be great, be!" This thought motivated Nikita to work hard and hone his skills and expertise. Currently, he holds the position of brand chef in Denis Ivanov's restaurants in Moscow, specifically overseeing the [KU:] ramen izakaya project. In his free time, Nikita is a dedicated athlete, which he shares on his social media pages, and he also enjoys reading books.
