About
Artem Losev received a classical education from a vocational college and the St. Petersburg Institute of Trade and Economics, and his curiosity and extensive experience helped him develop his unique style. One of his first jobs was at the St. Petersburg restaurant "Chekhov," where the menu was inspired by Chekhov's plays. Just a few years later, Artem Losev was catering for high-ranking government officials and working at prestigious events, including state receptions, the APEC summit, the Davos forum, the OPEC forum, the Russian Ball in Venice, and the Sochi Olympics. In 2015, he joined the White Rabbit Family and opened the restaurant Kutuzovskiy 5. In 2018, he headed Mushrooms, the first mushroom-themed restaurant in Russia, and the restaurant "Gorynych," which was named the Best Restaurant of 2018 by GQ and won the Palme d'Or award in 2019. In 2021, he and Vitaly Istomin opened their first joint project, "AVA," followed by the French bistro Patriki and the Italian restaurant Loona. Artem Losev describes the style of his cuisine as "gastronomic retrofuturism." His impeccable command of classical techniques allows him to skillfully reinterpret familiar combinations, bringing a fresh perspective while ensuring they remain understandable and memorable. His charisma and refined palate distinguish him not only as a chef but also as a popular Instagram blogger, a well-known television host, and the creator of the original show "Good Luck, Chef!" which he records with Vitaly Istomin, inviting stars of the entertainment industry as guests.
