The Buddy's philosophy is about playing with styles and traditions. Gastronomy is a rich language that conveys the fullness of life, and we invite our guests to explore it.
Over the years, the team has faced numerous professional challenges, implemented dozens of projects, and welcomed tens of thousands of grateful guests. During its operation, The Buddy restaurant has successfully organized over 80 off-site gastronomic events in the "Chef's Table" format, held in mansions, palaces, museums, and farms in the Leningrad region, and has also implemented a series of gastronomic cruises. These initiatives have made a significant contribution to strengthening the image of St. Petersburg as a gastronomic capital of Russia. In 2024, the founder and creative inspiration behind the restaurant, St. Petersburg restaurateur Andrei Alexandrov, was awarded a state prize and medal by the Committee for Culture – "For merits in culture and art." On March 25, 2025, Andrei Viktorovich Alexandrov received a state award from the Committee for Culture of the State Duma of the Russian Federation – "For significant contribution to the development of domestic culture." And on April 30, 2025, in St. Petersburg, as part of the annual "Business City" business award, the expert community recognized Andrei Alexandrov as the winner in the "Restaurateur of the Year" category. The anniversary year for The Buddy will be a symbol of summarizing achievements and outlining new ambitious plans, reflecting the restaurant's unwavering philosophy: to create a space of taste, meaning, and inspiration.
