About

This is a true culinary embassy of Siberia in Moscow.

The heart of the restaurant is an open kitchen, decorated with stylized Soviet mosaics. Here, you can see how shavings of muksun and sturgeon are placed on a frozen platter, how thousands of portions of famous Siberian dumplings are prepared, how white mushrooms are dressed with sour cream, how milk is extracted from cedar nuts, how honeysuckle is used to garnish cherry pies, and how venison is flambéed in the French style... Northern delicacies, hits of Soviet festive cuisine, dishes made with game, river fish, wild plants from the taiga, traditional and modern Russian cuisine – all of this is offered at the restaurant #SibirSibir.

Most of the restaurant's suppliers are local producers. The head chef is Evgeny Kuznetsov. The owner and creator of the concept, Siberian restaurateur Denis Ivanov, says: "Restaurant #SibirSibir is a true culinary embassy of Siberia in Moscow."

The interior design features a charming combination of coziness and grandeur. Clever, environmentally conscious design solutions: walls made of glass bricks that appear to be melting, carved wooden shutters on the ceiling, and a collection of nesting dolls... Cocktails and infusions made with taiga berries are served at the bar, which resembles the scales of a giant fish – 10,000 teaspoons worth. Some will see in them a hint of the Northern Lights, others will see the chainmail of a hero, or the ripples of a Siberian river... And yet, they are simply spoons.
