About

"The Master of the Taiga" is a Siberian cuisine restaurant and a museum dedicated to Vladimir Vysotsky's film "The Master of the Taiga." The restaurant is located in one of the most picturesque areas of Krasnoyarsk. The windows and the summer terrace offer stunning views of the Bazaiha River, the Torgashinsky Ridge, and the "Krasnoyarskiye Stolby" National Park. The interior features a fireplace with birch logs, a tranquil atmosphere, and ample space for a leisurely meal. The restaurant's name is directly linked to the film of the same name, which was filmed in the Krasnoyarsk region – in the Manka district, in the village of Vyezgiy Log, in the taiga near the headwaters of the Mana River. The interior displays archival photographs from the film's production, featuring Vladimir Vysotsky and Valery Zolotukhin, as well as authentic artifacts related to the work of the film crew. One of the key exhibits is a restored window from the house where the film was shot. It was brought directly from that location and installed in one of the restaurant's rooms. For Krasnoyarsk and its residents, the film "The Master of the Taiga" and the name of Vladimir Vysotsky hold a special significance. The words "The Master of the Taiga" evoke images of the vast taiga landscapes, the "Stolby" reserve, and the Siberian character. The interior is complemented by a collection of Austrian and German ski equipment from the early 20th century.
