About

A restaurant with beer for the whole family, and for everyone who is ready to see in beer not just foam and cheap snacks, but a sophisticated and refined beverage with its own unique culture.

The "Rappoport Restaurants" group has opened a restaurant called "Bibirevo. Beer, food, ice cream" on Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Street in Moscow. "Bibirevo" is the first restaurant in Moscow that offers beer for the whole family. It's also for those who are ready to see beer as more than just foam and cheap snacks, but as a sophisticated and refined beverage with its own unique culture.

Forget everything you thought you knew about beer restaurants. Stepping through the doors of "Bibirevo," you find yourself in a vibrant, multicultural space with white tablecloths, Italian designer porcelain, Zalto beer glasses, and contemporary art pieces that playfully mock not only famous brands but also the entire era of "conscious consumption." The symbol of the restaurant is a rabbit holding a beer glass in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other, a tribute to the sculptures of American artist Jeff Koons. This image is not only found as a three-meter-tall sculpture but also appears on the walls, almost in every room. Forty flexible television screens, designed to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere, display over 100 sports channels from around the world. During the day on weekends, they show Japanese anime. The friendly waiters in Adidas tracksuits invite you to strike up a friendly conversation, or even a friendly pat on the shoulder.

The beer list is structured like a wine list, with an impressive 231 options, 16 of which are on tap. The beers are organized by country, and you won't find such a luxurious selection anywhere else in Moscow, gathered from different corners of the world, including historical beer regions. Interestingly, unlike wine regions, the catastrophes of the 20th century significantly impacted these areas, so the beer geography no longer perfectly aligns with modern state borders. Therefore, instead of Germany, the beer list features Bavaria, instead of Belgium, it features Flanders, and also Czechoslovakia. There are also rare beer varieties from Japan, China, Thailand, Mexico, and even Mongolia.

Whether you love lagers, dumplings, or lambics, there's something for everyone at "Bibirevo." While a selection of ciders and non-alcoholic beers is no longer surprising in Moscow, the restaurant boasts over 20 varieties of kvass. They have also taken care of those who prefer wine: the wine list, which could easily be found in a small wine bar, includes 40 options, ranging from light-bodied Sauvignon Blancs to intriguing Pinot Noirs.

The restaurant's menu is not just a beer pairing guide, but a standalone gastronomic concept. The head chef, Svetlana Sursikova (formerly at "Khoroshaya devochka" and "Sыrovarnya"), focuses on a modern interpretation of national cuisines from around the world. The extensive menu includes Sichuan-style chicken, Filipino adobo, Thai curries, and Mexican chili. Of course, there are also classic beer pairings like wings and pork knuckle, but in a modern, author's style. Vegetarians and children are also catered to, with a dedicated section of the menu for them. And, of course, there's a great selection of ice cream, making the restaurant perfect for visits with the whole family.
