About
Eduard Arkhipov, the head chef of the "Chanter" grand cafe, entered the culinary profession at the age of 14. Cooking was a hobby that evolved into a lifelong passion. Eduard graduated from a vocational school for the food and hospitality industry in Yekaterinburg and began working at the "Antey" restaurant, located in the "Onegin" and "Richmond" hotels. In 2014, a pivotal moment occurred: while working as the head chef at the "Dom Pechati" restaurant, Eduard met Valentin Kuzjakin. The latter became a close friend and partner for many years. In 2015, Valentin and Eduard opened the "Engels" cafe, the first in a popular chain of cafes in Yekaterinburg. This was followed by restaurants such as "Gastroli," "Shalom Shanghai," "Gady," "Crabs and Wine," and "Soyka." In 2020, Eduard was awarded the "Best Chef of the Urals" prize by the prestigious Russian culinary award, WhereToEat. All of Eduard's projects in Yekaterinburg are ranked among the top ten best restaurants in the Urals, according to WhereToEat.
In 2021, he became one of the founders of the AUK festival, dedicated to authentic Ural cuisine. In 2022, he was invited to Moscow by the restaurant group Maison Dellos and became the head chef of the kitchen for the new French grand cafe, "Chanter."
At "Chanter," Eduard Arkhipov effortlessly combines tradition and modernity, creating stylish and original interpretations of classic dishes. Today, the grand cafe's menu features dishes such as coq au vin, pâté en croûte, foie gras terrine, "aglio e olio" with crab, tarte tatin with pear and quince ice cream, and many other favorites that have become beloved by guests from all over the world.
