About

WU SHU, a lively and ironic Chinese dumpling bar, draws inspiration from the atmosphere of Hong Kong in the 1990s. The owners have reimagined and adapted the traditional Hong Kong "cha chaan teng" format for Moscow – an affordable tea house with a diverse menu, where traditional Chinese dishes are mixed with Western influences.

A sense of nostalgia for Chinese cinema and martial arts is an integral part of the concept behind this new project. The interior resembles a set from a film starring a young Jackie Chan, with the sound of fighting in the restroom, a sketch depicting kung fu illustrations, and cocktails dedicated to beloved actors from the 90s.

When creating the menu, the creators were inspired by the biggest hits of Chinese cuisine, combining traditional recipes with modern trends: from unusual types of dumplings and noodles to baozi – steamed buns shaped like emojis. The signature item on the bar menu is cold-brew tea, made with premium Chinese varieties.

The project features many vintage items and unique pieces: small cloisonné vases on the tables (China, 1950s), tableware with custom prints, or a pink tiger rug welcoming guests at the entrance.
