Турандот

"Turandot" is a Pan-Asian and European cuisine restaurant located on Tverskoy Boulevard in Moscow. The establishment opened in 2005 in the building of what was once the Romanovsky-Korsakov mansion, of which only the facade remains. The authors of the palace-style interior design were Andrey Dellos and Alexander Popov; the construction and decoration of the halls took six and a half years, requiring the creation of special workshops where hundreds of artists and craftsmen worked on wooden panels, bronze decorations, stucco work, paintings, and crystal chandeliers.

The interior combines elements of various palace styles – from the Renaissance to Neoclassicism, with an emphasis on late Baroque and Chinoiserie, which is reflected in the restaurant's name, referencing the fairytale about the Chinese princess Turandot. The atmosphere is complemented by antique items and furniture made according to original designs by Russian, French, English, and Italian manufacturers.

Since 2008, Dmitry Yermeev has been heading the restaurant's kitchen; previously, he worked at the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the "Cafe Pushkin" restaurant. The menu features a combination of Eastern culinary traditions with a Western authorial approach, continuing the theme of European "Chinoiserie" from the 17th-18th centuries, established by the interior design.
