A New Look at Pan-Asian Cuisine: Point Express at the MDM Food Hall

On November 12th, the MDM food hall opened its doors at Frunzenskaya Street in Moscow, offering a new gastronomic experience from the VASILCHUKI Restaurant group. The new food hall is designed in a cyberpunk style and features 16 restaurant counters offering cuisine from around the world, including Greek, Vietnamese, Italian, and Indian.

The Pan-Asian menu is represented at the MDM food hall by Point Express, a branch of the Sochi restaurant Point Izakaya (chef Dmitry Lim, 354 Restaurant Group). The "Express" in the name doesn't mean a simplified menu; it offers a wide range of dishes. You can find everything from a crab, eel, and truffle sauce roll (670 rubles) to the popular sushi burgers with crab and spicy tuna (730 rubles), poke bowls with scallops, and tuna bowls with artichokes and quinoa (770 rubles each), as well as seafood ramen (570 rubles), escolar tartare with candied pineapple and lime dressing (430 rubles), and three signature Point Box sets at a fixed price. Lovers of Pan-Asian cuisine will appreciate the variety of flavors. Guests can also order Japanese drinks or sake, and as a bonus, they receive a portion of excellent miso soup with any roll order.

The food hall also features a VIP area with a separate entrance and restaurant-style seating, where guests can order dishes from any of the counters through a server. On weekends, the venue plans to host trendy DJs and parties.

The first food hall opened at VDNH in April 2022 and quickly became a popular destination for Muscovites. The MDM food hall is the second venue of this brand, and the team plans to open several more locations in the near future.
