OVO izakaya

A Japanese gastrobar that pays equal attention to food and drinks, and boasts perfect sushi, thanks to the robot Wally-san.

OVO izakaya is a new-generation Japanese gastrobar, located on the first floor of the "Europa" shopping center. The key feature of the concept is the equal emphasis on drinks and delicious, Asian-inspired cuisine, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyday socializing. The menu's highlight is Tokyo-style ramen with homemade noodles, served in 1.5-liter bowls with a natural shape. The rich broth is simmered for eight hours using free-range chickens and *tare* *katsubushi*. OVO offers seasonal ramen variations, including chicken, duck, beef short rib in *kalbi* sauce, a vegetarian option, and a creamy curry ramen. Spices, coconut milk, and lime leaves for the *tom yum* soup are imported from Thailand. Scallops, crab, and *ama ebi* shrimp from the Sea of Japan are delivered weekly from Vladivostok. Wally-san, a robot purchased at an auction in Tokyo, helps to create the perfect sushi. The menu also includes classic and signature rolls, Japanese poke bowls (*chirashi*), Japanese sandwiches (*katsu-sando*), chili crab, *udon* noodles, spicy crispy eggplant, and shrimp popcorn. As the izakaya format suggests, the bar offers a wide selection of drinks, including sake and legendary fruit-flavored *soju*. There's also beer from Germany, Thailand, and China, spicy mango cider, and signature summer cocktails, including the "Sakuramba Spritz" with cherries and strawberries. The wine list features a curated selection of Rieslings. OVO offers an extensive coffee menu based on 100% Arabica beans from Ethiopia, as well as coconut and almond milk, Chinese and Japanese teas, matcha, smoothies, signature lemonades, and herbal teas with fruit and berry flavors. The signature desserts include the refreshing "fruit snow" *kakigori* and the delicate *wagashi* *mochi*. The interior, designed in a soft "Japandi" style, is free of sharp corners, creating a sense of comfort. Guests are greeted by a giant golden egg, which represents the "ikigai" – the harmony and energy of happiness – at OVO. The dining area features wooden tables, golden sofas, large, comfortable armchairs, and an open, bright bar. The windows can be raised, connecting the interior space with a summer terrace.
