My Bistro
About
My Bistro is a cafe offering Mediterranean cuisine, owned by Maxim Orlov and Petr Radzikhovsky (of Alpaca and Llamita Burrito in Moscow, and Benedict in Minsk).
The first thing you notice when you enter the restaurant is the lighting. The entire space is bathed in soft light, even on cloudy days. The warm, natural materials and colors, the textured details, and the abundance of greenery create a feeling of "neighborhood" comfort and coziness. It's like the apartment of a creative person, free from clutter. The airy feel of the space is achieved through the use of mirrors and light materials. The modular design allows tables to be moved and transformed, and there is one large communal table in the center of the room. "We wanted to create a cozy place in the neighborhood, with affordable prices for our guests. A place where you can pause the hectic pace of the metropolis and immerse yourself in conversation with people, the city, or yourself," say Maxim and Petr.
The head chef of the project is Sergei Shiyanov, who is also responsible for the kitchens of the Alpaca bar and the Llamita Burrito restaurant. The menu features dishes from Mediterranean cuisines, from France to Israel. "The concept was initially conceived as a home-style bistro. 'Home-style' doesn't mean a plate of pasta with sausages; we tried to bring together a range of famous traditional dishes from different cuisines along the Mediterranean coast. When you think of France, the first things that come to mind are onion soup, mille-feuille, and brioche croissants; Italy – lasagna; and references to the Middle Eastern cuisines of Turkey and Lebanon – muhammara." shares the chef.
Profiteroles are filled with cream cheese and truffle (600 rubles); crab with avocado, persimmon, and a citrus glaze with poppy seeds (900 rubles). A juicy burger is made with a potato bun, a marble beef patty, pink tomatoes, and a cheese sauce (800 rubles); veal ribs in an onion glaze are served with cauliflower (1100 rubles), and sea bass is prepared with smoked celery and orange (950 rubles).
In the near future, the restaurant plans to work with local and regional products, as well as produce and ferment its own ingredients according to its own recipes.
My Bistro has a short and dynamic wine list that will be regularly updated depending on the season. The price of a glass ranges from 400 rubles to 950 rubles, and a bottle costs from 2100 rubles to 5700 rubles.
