About
"Mokpan," an Asian cafe, takes its name from a popular video blog genre that originated in Korea, featuring people eating food on camera.
A new project from the creators of the "Uryuk" restaurants has opened at Sushchevsky Val, 18: "Mokpan" (named after the popular Korean video blog genre featuring people eating food on camera). The philosophy of the "Mokpan" cafe is to create a space where people can enjoy food and connect with each other. There is no room for loneliness or isolation here; everyone will find only friendliness and hospitality. The "Mokpan" menu features dishes from Asian cuisine, prepared with a unique twist. For appetizers, you can try a salad with chicken, glass noodles, fresh vegetables, and roasted peanuts (290 rubles), or spring rolls with lamb, shiitake mushrooms, and hoisin sauce (290 rubles). Eggplant is roasted to a golden crust and served with juicy tomatoes in a sweet and sour sesame sauce (290 rubles), while tiger prawns are prepared in a Tom Yam sauce (290 rubles). Soups include a spicy and sour chicken soup with tofu, tomatoes, Tabasco, green onions, and cilantro (290 rubles); a lamb soup with egg noodles, oyster mushrooms, marinated soybean sprouts, and oyster sauce (290 rubles); and Chinese wontons filled with lamb and mushrooms, served in a spicy broth (290 rubles) or with udon noodles (290 rubles). The "Wok" section offers over 20 dishes to suit every taste. Options include Singapore noodles with shrimp and chicken (390 rubles), udon noodles with beef and mushrooms (390 rubles), soba noodles with vegetables (390 rubles), and egg noodles with chicken (390 rubles) or with shrimp and vegetables (390 rubles). Rice dishes include steamed rice with shrimp and pineapple (390 rubles), rice with cauliflower in a honey sauce (390 rubles), rice with beef in a Yu Xiang sauce with sesame seeds (390 rubles), and rice with perch and shiitake mushrooms (390 rubles). There is also fried rice with seafood (390 rubles), chicken (390 rubles), or lamb (390 rubles). For dessert, you can order mochi (190 rubles) in a variety of flavors (coconut with chocolate ice cream, lime with strawberry cream, or lemon with vanilla ice cream), or "fried milk" (190 rubles) – a traditional Chinese treat with a golden crust on the outside and a fluffy interior made with coconut and condensed milk, served with a signature "Lemon Sweet Chili" sauce.
