The first restaurant by Arkady Novikov, and the first seafood restaurant in Moscow.
This pioneering seafood restaurant, which opened its doors in 1992, set a new standard for impeccable cuisine, original design, and flawless service. The restaurant remains true to the principles established by its founder, who, like the restaurant itself, has become a legend over the years. The walls of Sirena are adorned with large aquariums, one of which is home to Gavrusha, an 8-year-old piranha. There are also models of ancient galleons, the ships on which Columbus sailed to America, and a specialist from the Navy Museum comes to clean their sails. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy the outdoor terrace, another area where Sirena was a pioneer. The menu features the best that the sea has to offer: from sea bream, prawns, and turbot displayed on a chilled counter, to live crabs and lobsters in aquariums, and carefully selected oysters. The team of chefs transforms these delicacies from the sea, using the best traditions of European, Russian, and Asian cuisine. The combination of "expert craftsmanship and high-quality seafood" is what has been appreciated by discerning Moscow clientele from the very beginning and continues to be today. Presidents, heads of state, celebrities, and film stars have all dined at the restaurant.
