About

Nordic Cuisine Bar

The first Lilyhammer, with its Nordic Shot Bar concept, opened in 2019 within the "Profsoyuz" bar cluster. It focused exclusively on shots, making it one of the most popular spots in the complex. For the new bar, the creators, Evgeny Goncharov (the "Komnata Otdykha" bar) and Ilya Stepanenko (the Borough raclette bar), found a more spacious and central location (Bolshaya Lubyanka Street, 5), emphasizing traditional Nordic cuisine, while also retaining some of the popular items from the original Lilyhammer.

The name Lilyhammer refers more to the American-Norwegian television series "Lillehammer" from 2012 than to the small Norwegian town that hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. A portrait of the main character (mafioso Frank "The Fixer" Taliano) watches over all the guests from the wall of the bar.

The menu for Lilyhammer was created by Kristina Chernyakhovskaya, an independent chef, founder of the Meet&Greet masterclasses, and author of the books "Seasons on My Plate" and "Open Kitchen." The appetizer section features the famous Danish smørrebrød (starting from 220 rubles) – with roast beef, cream cheese, and capers; with herring, mustard, and pickled beets; or with sturgeon caviar, quail egg, and onion. Guests can also try a hearty Danish hot dog with crispy onions, a bagel with gravlax salmon, or a kalitok – a traditional Karelian pastry filled with potatoes and rye dough. In addition, the menu includes a Scandinavian potato salad with salmon or bacon, and appetizer platters, such as the "wild" platter with elk, wild boar, reindeer, duck, and roe deer (550 rubles for a small one and 850 rubles for a large one), as well as pickles and marinated vegetables.

Among the soups are Finnish creamy fish soup and vegetable soup with white beans and smoked meats. For main courses, Lilyhammer offers pan-fried salmon with béarnaise sauce, Swedish meatballs with potatoes and celery, or a beef steak with cream sauce and mushrooms.

The Lilyhammer bar menu features a wide selection of shots, with names that reference Scandinavian culture or characters from the "Lillehammer" series – over 20 in total. These include "Lapland" with brandy, honey, and cloudberries (starting from 240 rubles), "Moomin Troll" with mango, rum, and chili, and "Kümmel" with caraway, coriander, and dill. A special section of the menu features signature club shots, such as "ABBA in Solyanka" – a legendary infusion made with sorrel – and "Frank Visiting Denis" – a twist on the famous watermelon shot from "Simach." A set of four shots can be ordered for 800 rubles.

There are also five signature cocktails: sparkling "Maracuja" and "Lavender Spritz," "Kizil" with oak chips, "Strawberry Rhubarb" with gin and ginger ale, and "Sorrel" with chili, mango, and rum. On tap are "Raspberry Spritz" and "Cranberry Negroni." The price of any cocktail is 550 rubles.

The design of the project is in the popular Scandinavian style. One of the main elements, playing on stereotypes about the culture of the Nordic peoples, is a wooden Swedish wall located in the center of the room. Natalia Ivanova from Yellowline Studio (bars "Rovesnik," "Sversnik," and the "Kotomka" store) is responsible for the interior design. The focus is on the bright blue Electric Blue Lemonade color of the ceiling and walls, with an open bar that resembles a block of ice at the center of the composition.

Lilyhammer has a total of 48 seats.
