About

A new, trendy take on Japanese cuisine, interpreted through an American lens, located in the heart of Moscow. Gorilla by Basta is home to the Gorilla Zippo. This project, brought to you by the teams behind the FRANK and "FRANK by BASTA" restaurants, features truly innovative cuisine designed to satisfy even the most discerning appetite.

The concept blends a modern approach to Japanese food with multi-layered rolls and sushi towers adapted to American tastes, combining Japanese and American cultures in a single menu: classic ingredients from the Land of the Rising Sun presented with a typically American flair. Each dish promises an explosion of flavor. For those who prefer classic dishes with a twist, you'll find kushiyaki, gyoza, tartare rolls, temaki, poke bowls, soups, and much more. In total, there are over 45 items on the menu, which will be constantly updated, including "WOW" dishes presented in a unique way, such as the signature "Gorilla" roll, weighing 1.1 kg, perfect for sharing.

The bar menu features a wide selection of Japanese beverages, from beer to rum. A truly impressive selection of sake is available, along with a couple of plum wines, cocktails made with authentic Japanese ingredients, and a range of Japanese spirits: whiskey, gin, rum, shochu, and, of course, a selection of American bourbon.
