Gaijin

About

Gaijin is a restaurant on Vasilyevsky Island offering Pan-Asian cuisine. Guests can experience dishes from various countries in Southeast Asia, including Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam, all in one place.

The name "Gaijin" (外人) is a Japanese word that translates to "foreigner" or "outsider." The restaurant's creators believe this name perfectly suits a place where everyone can discover the cuisines of different countries in Southeast Asia.

The kitchen is managed by three chefs: Yuri Zhuravlev (representing the classic Pan-Asian style), Sergey Tikhonov (focusing on modern trends and innovative interpretations of dishes), and Alexander Skrudulis (bringing a European influence). They each offer a unique perspective on gastronomy. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, with a focus on seafood, rice, and vegetables, as well as rolls, gyoza, poke bowls, pho, ramen, and tom yum soup.

The restaurant on Средний проспект (Central Avenue) on Vasilyevsky Island is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and until 1:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. The branch on проспект Оптиков (Optikov Avenue) is open from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
