We convey our love for our region and its history, incorporating cultural elements into our gastronomy, interior design, and decor. We offer a modern interpretation of classic recipes, using local and seasonal ingredients.
"Black River" is one of the versions of the origin of the name Voronezh. We approach the present with respect, moving forward smoothly while looking back with gratitude and respect. For us, the past is a symbol that reflects our "present." We continue to do what we know how to do now, in order to become even better in the future. We are dedicated to connecting the past and present of Voronezh. Our gastro-pub features unique specialties and a commitment to tradition in our gastronomy – something we value and cherish, but which we express through the chef's bold and contemporary interpretations. We work with local products and specialties sourced from the surrounding area and Voronezh itself. Our values: Continuity – the foundation of our "present" – is the work and spirit of the past. We thank, expand upon, and develop this experience. Connection to place – our geographical location is more than just a fact; we are deeply connected to the culture of our region. We preserve the values and characteristics that our land and history offer. Involvement – we foster cultural appreciation not only among our guests but also among our staff. The principle of "caring" is present in all aspects of the project. Product focus: Specialties – unique products and dishes prepared either by the restaurant itself or specifically for the project. Our principles include maximum product diversity, seasonality, and expertise in working with ingredients. Localization – we work with local and regional products, producers, and farmers. Supporting small businesses and using interesting products is a fact, but not a purely image-driven focus. Appetizers – a carefully curated selection of unusual appetizers that work well as individual items and as options for everyone. Surf & Turf – a modern gastronomic trend that combines seafood and meat on the same plate. This is a distinct image-driven element that helps us skillfully combine "water" and "earth" products. Light bar menu – we attract guests not just with "alcoholic effects," but with taste. Therefore, drinks occupy a prominent place in our menu. Our beer and wine selection features exclusively Russian producers. We also create some of our own beverages, including infusions and liqueurs made with natural berries, fruits, and vegetables, as well as strong spirits based on archival recipes, and traditional kvass and mead. Interior: A combination of natural elements and modern comfort. The use of natural materials and earthy tones in the interior reflects the region's rich black soil and the image of the "black river." Located in the city center at Commissarzhevskaya Street, 10, on the ground floor corner of the "Premier" business center, facing the intersection of Nikitinskaya and Commissarzhevskaya streets. It is one of the few gastronomic streets in the city, with a high concentration of both chain restaurants/cafes/bistros and independent projects.
