About
Ava Bistro on Bolshaya Nikitskaya is another project from AVA Team, where the author's menu and elegant design, created in collaboration with ASKERI GALLERY, make Moscow evenings even more enjoyable.
Ava bistro on Bolshaya Nikitskaya has three different atmospheres. It's romantic if you sit on the secluded mezzanine and admire the boulevards outside. It's festive if you choose a table a little further away, where soft light spills onto the white tablecloths, reflecting off the glossy mahogany panels. It's energetic where the open kitchen buzzes with activity, and the air is filled with the aromas of freshly baked croissants and hot coffee. The entire space seems to draw you in with its smooth curves, the gray-blue upholstery, but most of all, with its smells. From the traditional display case of desserts that greets guests as they step inside, to the oven where homemade bread and signature pizzas are baked, Ava bistro skillfully appeals to hidden desires – making it impossible to resist. And it surprises, in each new incarnation, presenting itself in a new guise. This is the third bistro designed by Slushaeva.Studio, embracing the current trend of multicultural spaces. The collaboration between AVA bistro and ASKERI GALLERY opens up new perspectives on contemporary art, with Polina Askeri's gallery showcasing works by Pavel Polyansky in the restaurant space. "Strange Shadows," "Wolves," "Alien Element," and "Escape" – the works of this contemporary master explore themes of coexistence between humans and nature, the natural world and digitalization, the emergence of a new reality, and its impact on the "here and now." The combination of gastronomy and art creates an atmosphere where you can spend time not only pleasantly but also interestingly. And, of course, the extensive and convenient menu – a hallmark of all Ava Team projects – fits perfectly into the new location. Here, at the intersection of Moscow's most popular restaurant street and picturesque boulevards, city life never stops, creating a new reason for meeting every day. Yesterday, for an early breakfast, there were "cheesecakes without cheese, but with raspberries," scrambled eggs with shrimp and unagi, and a flaky basket with cream and berries. Today, for lunch, you can have a quick meal with rolls and pizzas, or a leisurely meal with tom yam and beef with Parmesan and port wine caramel. And definitely tomorrow too, when it's time for dates over a glass of wine and scallops with raclette cheese, and meetings with friends accompanied by shrimp donuts. And at any free moment, when you have just a few minutes to spare for your favorite banana cake under a veil of Swiss chocolate, the legendary endless éclairs with poppy seeds, and the signature sour cream cake, which has garnered so many hearts on social media, like only true stars can. Not only the classics of Ava bistro are debuting at the new location, but also new creations. Mediterranean flavors are reflected in the author's pizzas with a light and airy dough that has been fermented for 24 hours. Asian accents are added with hand rolls filled with crab, shrimp, and salmon. And these are just two new options to explore – even more interesting because the bistro is located at the intersection of the main theater routes in the capital. The Helikon Opera, the Mayakovsky Theater, U Nikitskikh Vorot, the Pushkin Theater, and a dozen more – and each time a new route, a new experience, and a new dinner at the cozy and elegant bistro created by Anton Pinsky, Artem Losev, and Vitaly Istomin.
