Ante seafood&bar

About

A seafood restaurant with a unique concept by Dmitry Blinov, featuring an "exciting" cocktail menu and a cinematic atmosphere.

Ante seafood&bar is a restaurant located in the "Nevskaya Ratusha" business district, offering a unique culinary experience by Dmitry Blinov, with a focus on fish and seafood, complemented by a strong cocktail menu. This restaurant is a collaboration in the "Nevskaya Ratusha" business district, where a gastronomic concept based on seafood and fish dishes is combined with signature cocktails. The daytime atmosphere of sophistication meets the lively evening ambiance, and the style of the Italy&co group, created by Timur Dmitriev and Mikhail Sokolov, blends with the refined taste of restaurateur and chef Dmitry Blinov (Duoband). CONCEPT AND TEAM The creators of this project came together for a reason: Timur Dmitriev and Mikhail Sokolov, who have developed over 25 restaurant concepts under the Italy&co brand, had long envisioned a collaboration with their old friend and colleague, Dmitry Blinov, who is pioneering modern gastronomy in St. Petersburg through his innovative projects like Duoband. His Harvest restaurant was recognized as one of the best in the world, ranking 92nd on The World 50 Best Restaurants list. Dmitry has always admired the restaurants of Italy&co, including the Italian Salone pasta&bar and the Spanish-Mexican Atelier tapas&bar. This project brings together the talent and professionalism of each individual: Dmitry Blinov is responsible for the kitchen, while Mikhail Sokolov and Timur Dmitriev are in charge of creating the unique atmosphere. Dmitry Blinov, concept chef of Ante seafood&bar: "Misha and Timur suggested opening a restaurant together – I thought it would be an interesting experience. We tried to make Ante seafood&bar stylish, vibrant, and delicious, with a kitchen focused on fish and seafood, in the style of a meat-focused bistro." INTERIOR The overall aesthetic and inspiration for Ante seafood&bar comes from Martin Scorsese's film "Casino." The design was entrusted to designer Ksenia Smirnova, who has previously worked with the Italy&co team on projects such as Salone pasta&bar and Atelier tapas&bar. Ksenia used a deep red color for the walls and furniture, which harmonizes with the panoramic windows offering views of the monumental "Nevskaya Ratusha." The designer added a touch of sophistication with the absence of sharp corners and mirrors framed with baguettes, and placed a bar counter with a lacquered wood base, reminiscent of a croupier's table, in the center of the room. The floor features a large pattern of red coral, which has become a symbol of the project and is reflected in the vibrant porcelain tableware. The natural light from the panoramic windows, the elegant forms, and the deep tones create a space that welcomes guests with grace, lightness, and airiness during the day, and immerses them in a cinematic atmosphere at night. MAIN MENU Dmitry Blinov has created a menu focused on seafood and fish from the domestic seas, which he prepares in his signature style, skillfully combining a hint of haute cuisine with a comfort-food format. Dmitry has supplemented the familiar seafood menu with dishes featuring vegetables, game, and meat. Among the favorites of the guests and the team are scallops (720 rubles), which are pan-fried with white mushrooms and served with a creamy mushroom sauce and Parmesan mousse, and a rich soup with beef shank, made with a flavorful beef broth prepared using the sous-vide method (580 rubles). Among the recommendations for the main course is the Casino Sea Bream (1450 rubles) – a fillet of sea bass baked to retain its tenderness, and served with a sauce made with fresh tomatoes, rich Tagiasca olives, and capers. COCKTAIL MENU The cocktails at Ante seafood&bar can be a reason to visit the restaurant specifically. The menu features mixes created by a team of young and ambitious bartenders, Roman Kochanov (48 Chairs) and Igor Antropov (Four Seasons Hotel), and each drink reflects the theme of excitement and victory. The bartenders recommend starting your cocktail journey with Apple Pay (750 rubles) – a vibrant drink that balances the flavors of green apple, ripe pear, and fragrant basil. Continue with the Gonzo Quest (800 rubles) cocktail, which combines pineapple and white rum with French herbal liqueur. It offers a combination of tropical notes, citrusy freshness, and a hint of wild flowers. The Amber Road (750 rubles) digestif, with its mint-nutty flavor and delicate acidity, is a perfect way to end your meal. WINE LIST The wine list at Ante seafood&bar was curated by sommelier Ekaterina Lavrentyeva (Goose Goose, "The Swallows"), who has selected approximately 100 wines with a focus on pairings with fish and seafood dishes. The selection includes a combination of classics, biodynamic wines, and natural wines from local European wineries. Ekaterina has also chosen premium wines from renowned regions of France, such as Champagne and Burgundy.
