Darya was born and raised in Moscow. She has been involved in pastry making since the age of 14, starting with homemade desserts – a "Napoleon" cake for her father and her mother's favorite "Prague" cake. Darya is a graduate of the Moscow "Tsaritsyno" College, specializing in "Food Technology," and the Plekhanov Russian Economic University, specializing in "Technology and Organization of Restaurant Business." She completed an internship at the Etica Academy in Venice, where she studied with renowned pastry chefs such as Nicholas Lambert, Jordi Bordas, Frank Haasnoot, Alexei Grebenshchikov, Andrei Kanakin, Lyudmila Bukina, Ilnaz Iскаков, and Alexander Kislytsin. In 2017, Darya worked as part of the pastry team at Lotte Plaza. From 2018 to 2020, she served as the head pastry chef at RETIGO and as an ambassador for the French company RaviFruit. In 2019, she was invited by chef Viktor Beley to the "Ukhvat" restaurant to develop a seasonal pastry menu, after which she took over the entire pastry department. Later, she opened a seafood bar at the Usachevsky market. For two years, starting in 2020, she worked as the head pastry chef at the Back Thai restaurant, owned by Alexander Rappoport. She also served as the head pastry chef at the "Ryba Moya" restaurant. In addition to her professional work, she also supported a charitable foundation and was one of the chefs involved in the "I am a Chef" project by White Rabbit Family. In the first pastry issue of the "Bones" magazine, one of Darya's desserts was featured on the cover. Tereshenok-Kozhukhovskaya has won gold and silver medals at the "Moscow Association of Culinary Professionals" in the pastry chef category, was the winner of the "World of Pastry" exhibition in 2018, and won bronze medals at the "Salon du Chocolat" in 2017 and "Modern Bakery" in 2018. She is a regular instructor at the Stanfood Academy. She also participates as an expert on the "Pastry Chef" show hosted by Renat Akzamov. In September 2022, she opened two projects in Dubai: Sfumato and the wine bar Soirée.
