About

"Youth by the Sea" is a restaurant that evokes nostalgia for old Sochi, offering a unique Caucasian-Pan-Asian menu in the historic Marine Station building.

"Youth by the Sea" is the latest culinary project to find a home in the historic Marine Station of Sochi. The concept of this new establishment invites guests to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of carefree youth – a time when the impossible seems possible, when you can dance on the seashore until dawn without feeling tired, when your soul is filled with emotions, and the future beckons with a sea of opportunities and the promise of success. The theme of memories of the past is reflected in the very space: the building, constructed in the mid-20th century in the Stalinist Empire style, captivates with its sculpted columns, ornate ceilings, and panoramic windows. The proximity to the sea is evoked by the colors of the stylish yet cozy interior – a delicate aquamarine, reminiscent of sun-drenched waves, and white, like foamy crests. "Youth by the Sea" offers a variety of seating options, from tables in the main hall with a fountain and on the covered gallery, to spots on the scenic terrace under a light awning and in a gazebo-rotunda. The concept of the cuisine is based on the idea that everyone's "taste of youth" is different: for some, it's the first taste of Pan-Asian cuisine, while for others, it's memories of the Black Sea coast with its fragrant kebabs and grilled meats. Here, this entire spectrum of flavors of youth is combined in a menu where classic recipes and beloved Caucasian dishes are presented in a new, original interpretation with exotic notes, uniting generations. Guests come here to enjoy dishes like satsivi with sea bass and fried sulguni cheese with pineapple and passion fruit chutney, kutab with crab, artichokes, and stracciatella, and khinkali with shrimp and chicken, lamb kebab with cayenne pepper, and green borscht with pak-choi and egg noodles. The Pan-Asian dishes are a striking culinary highlight, developed with the participation of Denis Gereg from the renowned restaurant project Duo Asia (St. Petersburg). Thanks to him, the menu features sashimi made with the freshest seafood, Japanese dumplings called gyoza, wheat noodles stir-fried in a wok with shrimp, pak-choi, and a langoustine bisque, and Sichuan-style pork. The gastronomic experience is completed with exclusive cocktails with a Japanese twist and an unusual presentation. And what is youth without good music and romantic dancing under the glow of the setting sun over the sea? The restaurant's program features regular concerts by cover bands, DJ performances, and vibrant art programs. Familiar melodies make the dishes even more delicious and help guests shed the years and feel young and full of hope.
