Samara, Kuybyshev Street, 81 Website Concept by: Evgeny Reimer ABOUT THE RESTAURANT In early 2019, a restaurant opened in the historical center of Samara, sparking a true meat revolution. "Vashche Ogon" (literally "Totally Fire") is a meat-focused gastronomic restaurant. It's a masculine world, a perfect blend of a rugged interior, a wide selection of quality alcoholic beverages, rock music, plenty of meat, and fire. We use various global cooking techniques for game, fish, and poultry, creating new gastronomic combinations and trendy, original presentations. Steak is the last thing you'll find on the menu at "Vashche Ogon" – because there are so many other meat dishes from around the world. In our open kitchen, we've gathered the best technologies for cooking meat: an American smoker, where absolutely everything is smoked – from sour cream to butter and ice cream; an Argentine parilla with a rotating spit; a Spanish Josper oven; and the heart of the open kitchen, our pride – a traditional Russian wood-fired oven. The oven operates 24 hours a day: at night, it slowly cooks food at a low temperature, while during the day, it functions as a full-fledged high-temperature appliance for preparing dishes. The head chef of the meat restaurant "Vashche Ogon" is Sergey Kornev, and the brand chef is Mark Statcenko. In addition to premium marbled cuts, we use alternative ingredients, incorporating Asian sauces and dressings, all combined with the unique flavor of the oven. We offer a wide variety of sauces with different flavors, consistencies, and textures to complement the dishes. Our unique feature is the "sauce specialist" – a person who helps you choose the sauce that perfectly matches a particular dish, based on your preferences. Our sommelier will also offer a wide selection of wines from a collection curated to complement the meat-focused cuisine. At the entrance, guests are greeted by a Harley Davidson motorcycle – it emphasizes the rock theme of the restaurant, the spirit of freedom, and a true masculine world. Cover bands perform on weekends. The restaurant has 150 seats, which are almost always occupied, even almost a year after opening: reservations are accepted up to two weeks in advance. Truly, a love for meat is a natural instinct.
