A bakery in Novaya Holland with signature tarts and a cozy atmosphere inspired by Scandinavian "hygge."

The first Tyttö bakery opened just under a year ago in the Balagan food hall and quickly became popular with customers for its hearty breakfasts, delicious pastries, especially the tarts. The Tyttö menu features classic tart varieties, recreated in their best possible form: lemon, pecan, apple, and berry. The creators of the Tyttö project are a culinary team consisting of Dmitry Kyullenen, Alexander Bugayevsky, and Anton Kuznetsov. They are also behind the legendary ramen chain ossu eatery, the innovative sushi restaurants lili, the natural beverage company in the bottle, and the music bar Sovremennik, which opened in the former location of the iconic türeckiy bistro. The second location of the artisan bakery is on Novaya Holland Island, right near the main entrance of the Butylka building, where fresh pastries were much needed. The concept of this project has been modified and enhanced: it focuses on specialty coffee, a wider selection of new pastries, shu, tarts, and éclairs, all made according to classic and original recipes. The color palette and overall atmosphere, like the first project, are inspired by Scandinavian "hygge" – a fundamental concept of Danish culture that represents a feeling of coziness, comfort, warmth, and a sense of well-being and contentment, much like the aroma of fresh coffee and pastries in the morning. The character that embodies this playful, carefree spirit, floral atmosphere, and warm tones, which can be seen in the brand's visual elements, is a girl. This is how the name "Tyttö" is translated from Finnish.
