About
A village trattoria with a long history, it offers unpretentious surroundings with little in the way of adornment, yet it is the cooking that provides the true reason to make the journey: robust, generous and deeply Tuscan. The menu encompasses nearly all of the great regional classics – pappa al pomodoro, pici, ricotta gnudi, tripe and lampredotto meatballs, rabbit cooked in a terracotta pot, and the ever-present fiorentina – dishes that faithfully narrate the local traditions. Not to be missed is the tasting menu, which represents exceptional value for money. In the dining room, Edoardo Innocenti attends to guests with warmth and expertise, guiding them through both food and wine: the selection of labels is, in fact, considerably broader than the official list would suggest – a detail that lends the experience a most welcome personal touch.
