Rooted firmly in history, this restaurant dates back to the end of the 14th century and is an authentic jewel, listed among Italy's “Historic Restaurants”. It still retains its vitality today, with cuisine honouring Tuscan peasant traditions, supported by a genuine philosophy: the owners also run an organic farm, producing wine, extra virgin olive oil and excellent vinegar. Specialities include “peposo” (stewed pork shin) with cannellini beans, while grilled meats are the undisputed stars when it comes to main courses. To fully experience the peaceful charm of the village, book one of the few outdoor tables well in advance: an experience that is well worth waiting for.
