Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026, the timeless Romano continues to serve top-quality fish and seafood, occasionally updated yet always maintaining the traditions which have made it one of Versilia’s culinary institutions. Although this long-established restaurant’s philosophy has not changed over the years, current chef Nicola Gronchi should be applauded for adding a hint of contemporary flavour and technical expertise to the cuisine, bringing it in line with the times, while still retaining everything that this restaurant does best, namely serving fish of the highest quality (there are also a few meat dishes), including the occasional typical Versilian recipe. Front of house, talented Roberto and his team guarantee an enjoyable all-round dining experience, including wine recommendations.
