The Nappe Bistro

Located in the central district of Moscow, with a rich historical past, the restaurant features an interior with dark wood and white tablecloths, a European-style author's cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere of understated luxury.

Every detail of The Nappe Bistro reflects a respect for tradition – the main philosophy of the project. The name "nappe" is French for "tablecloth." This is a reference to the restaurant's historical location. Today, Skatertny Lane is part of Arbat, but previously this area was known as Povarskaya Sloboda (Cooks' Settlement). Craftsmen who worked in the royal kitchens settled here, forming professional communities. Bakers built houses on Khlebny Lane, cooks on Povarskaya, and weavers on Skatertny Lane. The interior was created by the project team and is a meaningful continuation of the historical facade of the building. The color scheme is in warm tones, the walls are finished with noble wood, and the floor is laid in a French herringbone pattern. Special attention has been paid to textiles: elegant curtains, fabric napkins, and the main motif of the project – pristine white tablecloths. Hand-stitched according to patterns from past centuries, the lace is not only on the edges but also in the center – a special delight for vintage enthusiasts. Additional accents include a crystal chandelier with vintage shades and works of contemporary art around the perimeter of the 160 square meter space. This serves as a reminder of the continuity of time and generations, the eternal union of past and present. A glazed veranda with panoramic views, accommodating 28 people, is open year-round and can be used as part of a restaurant visit or rented out entirely for events.

The European-style cuisine, created by chef Petr Shulga, has been reinterpreted for the modern era. It will appeal to both lovers of classics and those who want to discover something new.
