The Atelier restaurant is located in the historic district of the city, on a hillside overlooking the Volga River, offering stunning views of the great Russian waterway. The restaurant's menu features iconic Russian dishes in unexpected combinations, as well as the chef's own interpretations of familiar and popular recipes. The restaurant's head chef is Mikhail Shchetinin. Mikhail is a graduate of the St. Petersburg culinary school and is the second generation in his family to work as a chef. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with chefs from France, Sweden, Israel, Germany, and Japan. Mikhail's previous experience includes working as head chef at various restaurants in both Moscow and St. Petersburg, including "Sky Lounge," "Lucien," "Tinkov Brewery," "Carmel," "Mulatto Thomas," "Seven-Forty," the international Jewish community center at the Marina Roscha synagogue, and "Stroganov Palace." He has also participated in various international projects and conducted master classes at "Discover Russian Cuisine Turin" in Italy, representing The Atelier restaurant. Mikhail holds a certification from the "Slow Food" international movement and is a member of the alliance of chefs within the World Chef Association. He is also actively involved in reviving culinary traditions and recreating ancient recipes in a modern interpretation.
