Spica

About

Spica is a cozy cafe and relaxation space for everyday use, featuring its own bakery.

"Spica" (Spica Virginis) translates from Latin as "ear of grain" and is associated with the concepts of fertility and a bountiful harvest. The main idea and purpose of the name is to convey craftsmanship in the approach, the naturalness and quality of the product that forms the basis of the menu, and to create a simple, light, and stylish feel.

Spica is more than just a place to eat. Here, guests will experience a whole range of sensations and have many of their needs met. You can have breakfast until 4:00 PM, enjoy a business lunch, have dinner with family and a glass of wine, stop by for fresh pastries and bread, learn about the latest trends in specialty coffee, and become part of the "Maloy 55" community, as the co-working space Parta is located in the same building. The concept of "Local" creates a very relevant description for residents of Vasilyevsky Island, but without directly referencing the island, as "Local" is a more comprehensive term in this case. It also speaks to the approach to creating the menu, the selection of products, the service details, and the overall concept. SPICA is an ergonomic and functional space with fresh, unconventional design solutions. It is filled with light and air, with plenty of mirrored surfaces, bright accents, and long-lasting trends, all woven together in a harmonious composition.

From an architectural perspective, SPICA is located in a building that was created in the context of current urban and design trends. In the summer, the space almost doubles in size thanks to a cozy terrace located in the inner courtyard, which features a parking area and a square with a fountain.
