About

Scirocco is a southeastern wind, hot and boisterous, and also a Moscow restaurant with a fresh perspective on Mediterranean cuisine.

Scirocco, named after the hot, turbulent southeastern wind, aims to redefine perceptions of Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Valery Furik, with his extensive Italian and Japanese experience, is responsible for breaking down stereotypes. The menu features familiar dishes presented in unexpected ways, alongside fresh offerings from the aquarium. This is a carefully crafted neo-Mediterranean cuisine, with a universal and highly appealing gastronomic language. Our pasta is made fresh – prepared immediately after being hand-rolled. Instead of relying on predictable combinations, we prefer to experiment with classic dishes, such as flourless pumpkin gnocchi and a rich fish soup infused with sambuca. The cocktail menu was created by Maxim Stelmakh, known for his modernist infusions and distillates. The wine list includes several hundred wines of various styles, from sparkling Italian wines and elegant French wines to modern Zinfandels and organic wines. The restaurant spans two floors, with five rooms and spaces, including an attic and a balcony. The walls are painted in the color of Roman ochre, reminiscent of traditional trattorias, and there's a green greenhouse and natural materials throughout. We designed the space so that as you ascend the patterned staircase, you would feel as if you were visiting an old friend. You've been expected, and just beyond the shutters, there's the sea.
