About

"Pyatkin" restaurant is a popular tourist attraction located on one of the main historical streets of Nizhny Novgorod, Rozhdestvenskaya. The restaurant is loved not only by the residents of Nizhny Novgorod but also by visitors to the city. It's a place where you can enjoy classic Russian cuisine or simply sample homemade beverages. The menu includes dishes like borscht and "selyanka" (a type of Russian soup), sturgeon soup, tripe, jellied meat, pike perch cutlets, pickled vegetables, dumplings, beef Stroganoff, various pastries, sausages made from bear and reindeer meat, and dishes made with fish from the Volga River. Guests at "Pyatkin" can also enjoy traditional Russian porridge, and for dessert, there's apple strudel "Boyarsky" with cinnamon and ice cream, jams made from various berries, and thin pancakes made with kefir and sour cream. The names of the dishes themselves evoke a sense of culinary excitement – "Cabbage soup, simmered for a day in a pot under a layered pastry crust," "Pike perch cutlets, made with a fluffy filling, pan-fried on both sides before serving," and "Lingonberry pie from the Kerzhensky district." ... And the drinks at "Pyatkin" are just as authentic: Russian "sbiten" (a spiced honey drink) and kvass. They also prepare vodka according to an old recipe, including a "baked" vodka and "Yerofeich." Tea is served in a samovar with "bubliks" (a type of bagel), and there's also granulated sugar, just like at your grandmother's village house, the kind you eat with your meal.
