PORTOVINO
About
PORTOVINO invites its guests to immerse themselves in the incredible atmosphere of an Italian seaside trattoria.
PORTOVINO is an Italian philosophy of life, the main idea of which is to enjoy the moment, always with a glass of excellent wine in hand. Only Wine Group, inspired by a love of Italy, presents a new project! PORTOVINO is a small restaurant a short walk from Shelepikhinsky Embankment, and it is the seventh project of Only Wine Group. Having opened its first wine bar, inspired by a love of food and wine, in August 2019, the restaurant group continues to surprise with new and always friendly gastronomic venues in the city. In the new PORTOVINO project, OW Group invites its guests to immerse themselves in the incredible atmosphere of an Italian seaside trattoria: the interior, wine list, and menu – literally everything here creates that very feeling of tranquility and peace that you experience when you travel to the Ligurian or Adriatic coast. Natural materials in the interior, crisp white tablecloths in the service, heavy, tactile tableware, and delicate crystal glasses instantly transport guests to the Mediterranean. At PORTOVINO, a leisurely morning with breakfast or brunch is always accompanied by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee (from 150 rubles), and the world is illuminated with completely new colors thanks to the sparkling bubbles of sparkling wine (only in the morning - 300 rubles) or the signature Bellini (only in the morning - 350 rubles). The breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, omelet, or scrambled eggs (from 200 rubles), coconut milk rice porridge with homemade blackcurrant jam (250 rubles), croissants with various fillings (from 200 rubles), waffles with pumpkin and stracciatella (350 rubles) or with chocolate and vanilla ice cream (350 rubles - in a sweet version), and also syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) with homemade blackcurrant jam (250 rubles). Special attention should be paid to the signature breakfasts: PORTOVINO (650 rubles) - a croissant or Belgian waffle, with homemade raspberry jam, honey, butter, orange juice, and a cup of espresso, and MARE (550 rubles) - toast with salmon in Hollandaise sauce, with spinach and a poached egg. The main menu of PORTOVINO is inspired by the chef's, Nurlan Montoev, all-encompassing love for all the delights that the Mediterranean cuisine has to offer. Among the salads are burrata with seasonal tomatoes (650 rubles), Niçoise salad (900 rubles) with grilled tuna, green beans, a classic poached egg, and a Dijon mustard dressing, and the classic Caesar salad with shrimp (650 rubles). Pasta lovers will find linguine with vongole (800 rubles), the classic penne arrabiata, and a seasonal pasta with morels and truffle oil (650 rubles). Among the main courses are grilled loligo (850 rubles), Burgundian snails (550 rubles), baked halibut with asparagus and celery puree (900 rubles), and veal cheeks with port wine sauce (700 rubles). The unpretentious menu of Roman-style pizzas, created by the chef, inspires with each of the 14 varieties offered: there's Margherita (250 / 450 rubles), pizza with artichokes and ham (450/700 rubles), fruit di mare (550 / 750 rubles), and the absolute summer favorite - pizza with flambéed pear and gorgonzola (450 / 650 rubles). The dessert menu was developed by pastry chef Irina Kulikova, who has her own pastry shop, with the ability to create desserts and cakes of any complexity! In the dessert menu of PORTOVINO, Irina sought to give prominence to simple, homemade desserts - those that traditionally become part of any family celebration: Bird's Milk Cake, Honey Cake, Napoleon, Black Forest Cake (350 rubles each). For those who prefer unusual desserts, the menu offers a mango and passion fruit soufflé cake and a lime curd tartlet with meringue (350 rubles each). And those who appreciate Italian classics will surely appreciate the delicate vanilla panna cotta (350 rubles). A separate menu is provided for the youngest guests: chef Nurlan Montoev knows that the favorites of all children will be fritto misto (300 rubles), chicken nuggets with cheese sauce (250 rubles), and mini-burgers with turkey (350 rubles), while parents will be happy to be able to add fresh vegetables and fruits to their children's orders: crudités with yogurt sauce (200 rubles), chicken patties with zucchini and carrots (250 rubles), and a fruit bowl (250 rubles). As for drinks, kids will probably prefer one of the milkshakes (400 rubles each): popcorn, Oreo, or strawberry with chocolate. The bar menu features all the most beloved Italian classics: from limoncello (450 rubles) and Peroni beer (450 rubles) to Aperol Spritz (500 rubles) - in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, Negroni (500 rubles), Martini Fiero Tonic (500 rubles). For lovers of signature drinks, PORTOVINO's head bartender, Evgeny Polikarov, has created 5 bright summer cocktails (550 rubles each): Mare with blueberry and currant, red wine caviar, the mysterious Arctic with a bright tropical flavor, Porto Laguna with refreshing yuzu and green tea notes, the sunny Village, and the fairytale Fenix with notes of cherry, elderflower, and basil. The small but harmonious wine list features just over fifty labels from the Old and New Worlds, including big bottles - magnums and jeroboams. Prosecco and Cava, Zekt and Champagne, as well as pet-nat, and still white and red wines, inspire a celebration at PORTOVINO that will remain in your memories for a long time. The interior of PORTOVINO, like the interiors of other Only Wine Group projects, was designed by Draw Bureau, flawlessly recreating the idea of a portal from the hustle and bustle of the city to a seaside tavern, with an element of a modern restaurant. The walls, the color of the deep blue sea, hypnotize with soft waves, the ceilings, the color of chalk, and the stone floor create a practically natural habitat for the clusters of seagull-shaped lamps and willow vines acting as lampshades. The designers wanted to fill the restaurant space with natural materials: the tables and bar counter are made of ash and are complemented by patinated copper, the chairs are upholstered in leather and tweed, and the velvet upholstery of the sofas resembles wet white sand. The walls are decorated with works by artist Ksenia Oleinik, created using the paper applique technique, each of which also refers to marine motifs. In warm weather, guests will be offered to sit on a small veranda with 10 seats, surrounded by pots with lemon trees, and in winter, you can relax not only at the tables but also on a large windowsill.
