A restaurant in the mountains, where innovative cuisine is prepared without electricity, bringing people together around a communal hearth, where you can find like-minded individuals and become part of a community.
"The Tribe" is a unique restaurant, the only one in Russia that operates without electricity. The project was conceived by Andrey Matyukh, a chef who has been recognized as the best in the country three times. He wanted to create a space where people could not only enjoy an unusual combination of ingredients and a new interpretation of classic recipes, but also relax, find kindred spirits, and become part of a community. The location was carefully chosen to perfectly embody the concept: the restaurant is located in the Apsheronsky district, on the border of the Krasnodar region and Adygea, near the Lago-Naki plateau, at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level. Surrounding the restaurant are mountains, waterfalls, ancient forests, and caves, hidden from view by vines.
The interior of the restaurant is designed to resemble a cave, but one that has been carefully crafted. Everything here is a reference to the ancient world. The walls are adorned with animal hides and imitations of rock paintings, while large bone- and mushroom-shaped lamps hang from the ceiling. Natural materials – stone, wood, moss, and leather – create the feeling of a portal that transports you to the past. This unique atmosphere is the work of the design duo Vandall: Olga Khamatgalieva and Vladimir Anda, who have created a mysterious and authentic environment where everyone feels safe.
However, the kitchen is not shrouded in mystery; it is open, so that any guest can witness the preparation of the dishes, learn the chef's secrets, and see how the staff uses the various cooking stations. The menu features traditions from all over the world, but with a unique twist: kutabs with Adyghe cheeses, beef cheeks with demi-glace sauce, Dagestani lamb baked on pine branches, veal steak grilled on stone, and trout cooked in a cabbage leaf over an open flame. The desserts are also baked in the oven; guests particularly enjoy the strawberry pie with ice cream, which is prepared right before their eyes.
