About

The "Pepyol" restaurant is a landmark of Irkutsk. We are reviving the historical cuisine of the era of Siberian exploration, a time when destinies, cultures, and culinary traditions intertwined.

Located in the building where geologist Sergei Peretolchin lived and worked, the restaurant offers an authentic gastronomic experience of the late 19th century. The menu features a unique blend of culinary traditions: nomadic cuisine (including "khushuur," a round skillet dish with marbled beef from the Hakas region, prepared according to a recipe from the sacred Olkhon Island), Russian cuisine (featuring a dish with wild chervil from the taiga, served with "sagudai," a type of fermented milk product made from Baikal omul), and merchant cuisine with French influences (including signature éclairs filled with "Anna Pavlova" and "cedar nut" creams).
