Osteria Lucia
About
A large Italian-style restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring homemade pasta, Neapolitan-style pizza, and a terrace with stunning views of the city of Yaroslavl.
The restaurant is located in the city center of Yaroslavl, at 42 Svobody Street, on the second floor of a historic building dating back to 1906, which is a designated cultural heritage site. According to the restaurant owners, their inspiration for Osteria Lucia came from their travels throughout Italy. Italians often frequent family-friendly restaurants for decades, first for dates, then with children and grandchildren. The concept of Osteria Lucia is based on the atmosphere of a large Italian home, where several generations live happily. Every detail of the interior, every word or gesture of the staff, is designed to infuse guests with the energy of sunny Italy. The restaurant's main dining areas feature two fully open kitchens. One kitchen is dedicated to pizza, prepared in a special oven imported from Italy. The other kitchen handles both cold and hot food preparation. The serving counter is almost level with the tables, creating a unique and interactive dining experience. For the first time in a restaurant project, the designers have seamlessly integrated the kitchen space with the dining area, creating the feeling of being in that very large Italian home, where food is being prepared right in front of you. The building's structure allowed for the creation of a spacious conservatory, which has quickly become known for its exceptional views of Yaroslavl. From the terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Svobody Street, the park, and the churches. The conservatory's design, reminiscent of the early 20th century, reflects the era in which the building was constructed. The project creators placed great emphasis on stylistically highlighting the beauty of the building. Inside, the design is equally beautiful – one wall is decorated with stained glass featuring Italian patterns, and umbrellas are placed above the tables, not only for aesthetic purposes but also to provide shade from the sun. The pattern on the umbrellas complements the design created for the restaurant staff. In the center of this room is a bar, and along the edges are large, tree-like structures adorned with numerous glowing lanterns. All of this reflects the main metaphor of the project: a glowing lantern. Take a look at the restaurant building in the evening, and you will understand.
