Nitka
About
The project is dedicated to reviving the urban Russian tea tradition, where an authentic interior, samovars, and crystal tea strainers are combined with modern specialty teas and new brewing methods.
"Nitka" (Thread) was the name given to the camel caravans that transported tea from China to Russia. In Eastern tradition, a red thread symbolizes the unbreakable bond between people. The fabric of nations is made up of many such threads. The idea of the project is to revive, in a modern form, a format that flourished in pre-revolutionary Russia. The project's author, Andrey Kolbasinov, is the Russian champion in tea mixology. The selection includes direct-trade teas from farmers in Russia, Georgia, Nepal, and China, as well as many signature blends, including the legendary "Russian Caravan," which is smoked in Moscow.
