A beachfront gastrobar with a global wine list and seafood-focused cuisine, emphasizing Mediterranean flavors and fresh Black Sea catches.

This cozy gastrobar is located on the first line of the central promenade in Sochi. The creator, visionary, and head chef of this new project is Alexander Vyakharev, a renowned former chef from WRF (Red Fox, "Plachuyushaya Iva," "Sakhalin," "Ogonek," and others), a participant in the International Gastronomic Festival IKRA, and an expert in Mediterranean cuisine. He places a strong emphasis on local products and fresh seafood in his signature project. "The days when seafood was associated with a delicacy are over. Today, oysters or vongole are not an exotic import, but simply one of the dishes on a good menu," says the head chef. Simple and straightforward food with a Mediterranean flair is the main focus of the "Morya" (Sea) restaurant. The menu features not only Black Sea delicacies, such as limpets, horse mackerel, or trout, but also a variety of other options. For example, the "Fresh Catch" section includes Murmansk sea urchins, scallops, and crabs, as well as Far Eastern, Japanese, and Mediterranean oysters. Tuna pâté with lavash, a selection of carpaccio, marinated artichoke with goat cheese, the signature "California" salad with crab and avocado, mussels in tom-yam or blue cheese sauce, fried limpets with onions and Kuban tomatoes – many of these dishes are perfect for sharing with friends at the table. And, by the way, not only during lunch or dinner, but also in the morning: "Morya" serves delicious breakfasts starting at 9:00 AM. There are many popular dishes, such as hummus made with local sweet potatoes and pine nuts, in the "Perfect with a Drink" section. These are ideal to enjoy with refreshing "Bellini" cocktails and sangria at the bar with a view of the sunset, or with wine at a cozy table. The global wine list, curated by sommelier Nikita Sennikov ("Plachuyushaya Iva," Chicha), features over 20 options by the glass. The interior design features light colors, arches, tablecloths in a sky blue hue, and marine accents such as seashells, corals, and a fishing net used to decorate the columns. The design is elegant, light, and feels like it's filled with a fresh sea breeze. The main attraction is a semi-circular viewing rotunda that resembles a fishing harbor, offering a panoramic view of the vast sea, where the most beautiful sunsets occur every evening.
