MON CHOUCHOU

About

The concept of the restaurant project is to share the experience and love for French cuisine in all its diversity, and to completely change the perception of French cuisine in St. Petersburg and throughout Russia.

"My favorite" or "my dear" – this is how the name of the French bistro MON CHOUCHOU in St. Petersburg, opened by Anastasia and Dmitry Reshetnikov, is translated. They have already demonstrated their love for playful names and their ability to create a unique atmosphere in the ZAZAZU bar on Rubinstein Street, where you have probably stopped for a glass of wine. The bistro is located in the historical center of the city. The halls with high ceilings and large windows showcase the old brickwork. The bistro is divided into three zones. One is entirely dedicated to breakfast: classic croissants, poached eggs, delicate French omelets, and morning coffee – the perfect place to start your day. The second zone is for lunch and dinner, with tables covered in white tablecloths. And the third is a truly special place where you can feel like you are part of a painting by the French artist Antoine Watteau, one of the founders of the Rococo style, subtly evoking both Versailles and Peterhof. The figures in the painting are arranged on the grass and invite you to join their picnic, and as everyone knows, any food tastes three times better in the fresh air. The menu at the MON CHOUCHOU restaurant on Karavannaya Street was developed with the participation of the French chef Patrick Canal and is designed to be the perfect complement to the selection of fine beverages. The team's goal is to restore French cuisine to its deserved popularity. Among the appetizers are brioche with black caviar, eggplant with hummus and vegetable tartare, foie gras and duck pâté. For lunch, you can enjoy pot-au-feu, onion soup, or the legendary Bouillabaisse. For main courses, they offer whitefish with green vegetables and velouté sauce, lamb cutlets with Provençal ratatouille, or dumplings according to Auguste Escoffier's recipe. There is also a section with dishes for sharing, including Bouillabaisse with 5 types of fish, pommes aligot puree, and a marbled steak.
