Lira

Lira is both the name of the Turkish national currency and a trendy restaurant serving modern Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, reflecting its origins.

Lira, referring to the Turkish currency, is a spacious restaurant with 120 seats, featuring a large, enclosed veranda-conservatory. This stylish restaurant, offering modern Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, is a joint project by restaurateurs Arkady Novikov, Ilya Beniaminov, Future Group, and Alexander Sorkin. The design was created by the Istanbul-based studio Studiocod ("Fish Culture," "Levantine Istanbul"), and it's a bright space that tells the story of modern Eastern culture: depicting deserts, rocks, oases, the sea, and metropolises. Aziz Tanrikulu, a chef from Istanbul, is in charge of the kitchen at Lira.
