About

Behind its smart white façade, this culinary gem, somewhat tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, welcomes diners into an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. At the helm in the kitchen is Heinz O. Wehmann, who is as integral to Landhaus Scherrer as St Michael's Church is to Hamburg! Since 1980, he has been head chef at this restaurant, which was opened in 1976 by Armin and Emmi Scherrer, and boasts a long history of MICHELIN-star recognition. Dishes rooted in classic cuisine, such as crustacean ravioli with morels and young leek, or pan-fried cod fillet with asparagus ragout, boiled potatoes and sauce hollandaise, showcase top-quality seasonal ingredients from selected local producers. The impressive wine cellar has been built up over the years and now exceeds 10 000 bottles! Service is attentive and professional, but by no means stuffy. Tip: Come at lunchtime, when natural light floods the space, lending it a peaceful and relaxed feel. For a more casual alternative, Wehmann's Bistro serves good regional fare.
