About

A two-story restaurant serving Cantonese and Japanese cuisine, located in the Barvikha Luxury Village.

While the restaurant on Sretenka emphasizes the lively atmosphere of an English pub, this establishment outside the city is a full-fledged two-story restaurant where guests come to relax and recharge in a calm and refreshing environment. Natural light streaming through large panoramic windows has allowed the designers to create a spacious and airy atmosphere. In this setting, familiar art pieces from the cultural revolution, contemporary Chinese art, recognizable cushions with portraits of Mao Zedong, and a collection of ancient vases and sculptures from the Han and Tang dynasties appear even more vibrant and stylish. The conceptual menu of "Chinese Characters" remains unchanged: like the restaurant on Sretenka, it is based on Cantonese, or Guangdong, cuisine. Chef Zhang Xiancheng offers a menu filled with culinary masterpieces: a salad of smashed cucumbers with cilantro and cashews, crispy eggplant with tomatoes, translucent dumplings, braised duck tongues, exquisite black duck eggs, beef with black pepper, and the classic Peking duck served with a ceremonial carving at the guest's table.
